GO HAVE AS MUCH FUN AS POSSIBLE

GO HAVE AS MUCH FUN AS POSSIBLE

Join us Saturday, March 13, 2021, for a global day to celebrate the legacy of Jake Burton Carpenter. No matter where you are or what you’re up to, Jake’s spirit is what brings us together. Ride, hike, surf, skate, wax your board, whatever, just be creative and have as much fun as possible!

Share your day with #RideOnJake and pick up a free sticker sheet at your local Burton store, as well as select snowboard shops and resorts.

JAKE’S STORY

Jake’s vision was to bring snowboarding to all and to have as much fun as possible in the process. His dream, his perseverance, and his generosity were his gift to the world. As an industry, and as a community we come together for this day to remember and reflect on the undeniable impact he had on all of us. Together we open our hearts to carry Jake’s spirit forward; to share our love for standing sideways, and to make every moment count.

MAKE JAKE’S DAY YOUR OWN

As snowboarders, we value creativity. We each follow our own line through life and see the mountain from our own unique perspective. So, whether you’re able to make some turns at your local hill or just watch that video you’ve been saving, A Day for Jake is all about feeling a connection to snowboarding wherever you are. Get creative and make it your own!

There’s a lot of people out there that have helped me along the way in snowboarding, but this dude right here, bwalton002 really got things going 25+ years ago. I don’t think he needed the gas money but he would pick me up 2-3 days a week and drive us up to Bear or Summit. His patience with me as I learned, and his tolerance for my aggressive music choices at 5am are a testament to his character. Running into him at the top of mammothmountain yesterday was all time. It’s not easy linking up with friends on a powder day, but yesterday was epic! Oh yeah and if Bryan and I weren’t riding together, we were working in a snowboard shop talking snowboarding and devouring the burtonsnowboards catalog. #rideonjake ...
